Bend, Oregon, is one of my favorite places to visit as well as photograph! I jumped on the chance to photograph this family on a beautiful Sunday!

We first went to a park near their house and were able to capture some family photos as well as some photos of sweet 6 month old Sierra.

We then headed back to their home and captured both some lifestyle as well as posted photos.

We also spent a little time in their backyard capturing a few more family photos.

When Amber reached out to me about taking their family photos, she said she hoped to do them at Weddle Covered Bridge in Sweet Home because Weddle is a family name. It was the perfect location for family photos, with a cute park next to it!

Amber and Andy’s kids were pros at taking photos, and it was easy to capture beautiful photos of their family!

Whenever I do a family session, I like to be sure to get plenty of photos of the full family as well as photos of each kiddo and the kiddos together.

The last time I took photos for the Ruzanskis, the kids were a bit smaller but we got a photo like this one. So of course it had to be done again!

In addition to the other groupings, I love getting photos with mom and dad with each kid, and of course one with just mom and dad!

Last June I had the pleasure of taking Edith’s one year portraits. I very much enjoyed my time with Edith and her mommy, Robyn. I was overjoyed to be able to capture photos to celebrate Edith turning 2 this summer. We once again met at Avery Park in Corvallis, Oregon, and enjoyed many things the park has to offer!

We have decided it will be a tradition to have some photos with the rocking chair I brought along, since we also did some last year. It is fun to see Edith grow!

I love having a posed aspect as well as a “lifestyle” aspect to photos, especially with young children. After a few posed photos, we wandered the park. It was such fun watching Edith explore, ask questions, and PLAY. She is very adventurous and confident, but also knew when to ask her mom to help her.

Robyn owns/runs Sunflower Stables outside of Corvallis. Last summer I had the privilege of both taking photos at her stables, as well as having my daughter take riding lessons with Robyn. I say that mostly to say that I have seen Robyn and Edith interact more than just during our photos, and I greatly admire the relationship they have. Watching them together was a truly joyful experience, and everytime I look through their photos I’m reminded of the love between them.
